Begin with the extremity of an object or person
Something like the fingertip
And run the reader’s mind

Down
the
finger

Down
the
hand

Down
the
arm

Pass
the
elbow

Pass
the
upper
arm

Before zooming out

s l o w l y

Reveal the shoulder of the metaphor
But do not give anything away just yet
Hold on a few more moments
Let them sit on it
in it
But not for too long
And when you do
Certainly do not explain it

Just end with
something they’d say;
“Fragmented sentence, ending conclusively.”
